Mencius (372 BC-289 BC), also known by his given name Ke, was born in the State of Lu. He was a famous Chinese philosopher, educator and one of the principal interpreters of Confucianism. He is said to have authored a book called Mencius. He inherited and promoted the ideology of Confucius, and then became the most famous Confucian after Confucius. He was lauded as the “Second Sage” while he and Confucius are called “Confucius and Mencius”.
主要成就：孟子被加封为”亚圣公”，以后就称为”亚圣”，其思想与孔子思想合称为孔孟之道。
