94吴三桂更是脸上一阵红，一阵白，不知如何回答才是，寻思:“听他这么说，皇帝果然早已疑我心有反意。”只得哈哈的干笑几声，说道:“皇上英明仁孝，励精图治，实是自古贤皇所不及。”席间各人歌颂功德，吹牛拍马，尽欢而散。

97韦小宝想义兄杨溢之却未来见，便差人去告知吴应熊，请杨溢之过来一见。不料，吴应熊亲自来见，说杨溢之出外公干未回。问去了何处，吴应熊脸色微变，支吾道去了西藏。韦小宝见状，心中起疑。
