《鹿鼎记》是金庸的最后一部武侠小说。是金庸的封笔之作，代表了金庸武侠小说的最高成就。《鹿鼎记》这部小说从1969年10月连载到1972年9月，连载时间长达两年零十一个月，仍然连载在金庸主办的《明报》上。该书名字中有”鹿”和”鼎”二字，”鹿”是”逐鹿中原”的”鹿”，”鼎”是”问鼎”的”鼎”，因此，从名字上看，《鹿鼎记》就和政治、和权力斗争是紧密相连的。故事背景设置在明末清初(1644年-1689年)，讲的是一个从小在扬州妓院长大的韦小宝，以不会任何武功之姿态闯江湖各大帮会、周旋于皇帝朝臣之间并奉旨远征云南、俄罗斯之故事，塑造了一个与传统的侠客完全不同的小人物形象，并借这个形象讽刺了一些道貌岸然的伪君子和迂腐顽固的思想，表现了民族统一的思想。连环画共计八册，谨请欣赏。
1舟行数日，忽见东北方出现一片陆地，岸上树林苍翠，长长的海滩里不到尽头。方怡道:“听说这里是神仙岛，我们上去瞧瞧好吗?”韦小宝喜道:“好啊，只要你永远陪着我，我就是神仙。”
After several days of sailing, I suddenly saw a piece of land in the northeast. The trees on the shore were green, and there was no end in the long beach. 2两人上了岛，携手入林，闻到花香浓郁异常，草丛中窜出七八条黄中间黑的毒蛇，缠上两人的腿部，树枝上也挂下蛇来，缠住韦小宝头颈。韦小宝急挥匕首，将一条蛇斩为两段，但两人手上，腿上已被毒蛇咬伤。
2 The two men went to the island and joined hands in the forest. When they smelled the fragrance of the flowers, seven or eight poisonous snakes with yellow and black in the middle sprang out of the grass and wrapped around their legs. The snakes also hung from the branches and wrapped around Wei Xiaobao’s head and neck. Wei Xiaobao quickly waved a dagger and cut a snake into two sections, but both hands and legs were bitten by a poisonous snake.
3待到醒转，韦小宝发现自己已睡在床上，一个自称姓潘的丑陋汉子拿了一碗药，喂到他嘴边，并告诉他，送他们来的大船己在二天前开走了，不知去向;幸亏岛上的陆高轩大夫送来蛇药，他和方怡才保住了性命。
When he woke up, Wei Xiaobao found himself sleeping on the bed. An ugly man who called himself Pan took a bowl of medicine and fed it to his mouth. He told him that the ship that sent them had left two days ago and was lost; Fortunately, Dr. Lu Gaoxuan on the island sent the snake medicine, and he and Fang Yicai saved their lives.
4傍晚时分，陆高轩派了两乘竹轿来接韦小宝和方怡。陆先生的妻子拉住方怡的手，显得十分亲热，陆先生邀韦小宝到书房，指着一幅字画道:“请韦公公指点。”韦小宝见纸上的字如蝌蚪般，宛如五台山石碣上所刻文字。
In the evening, Lu Gaoxuan sent two bamboo sedans to meet Wei Xiaobao and Fang Yi. Mr. Lu’s wife took Fang Yi’s hand and seemed very friendly. 5韦小宝心念一动，道:“这几个字我倒识得!”陆先生便提笔醮墨，郑重地请韦小宝将那些解蚪古文译将出来。韦小宝将笔地上一掷，大声说道:“老子狗屁不识，屁字都不会写。老子是信囗胡吹，骗那头陀的!”
5 Wei Xiaobao said, “I can read these words!” Mr. Lu then took a pen and dipped it in ink, and solemnly asked Wei Xiaobao to translate those ancient Chinese characters. Wei Xiaobao threw his pen on the ground and said aloud, “I don’t know shit, I can’t write anything. I’m a liar!”
6胖头陀和陆先生早已禀报洪教主，说有个小孩识得石碑上的文字，哪知这事全是假的。陆先生怕教主怪罪，只得假造碑文，让韦小宝记牢，又取过纸笔，将蝌蚪字一一写出，教他辨认，免得教主召见时露了破绽。
Fat Head Tuo and Mr. Lu have already reported to Lord Hong that a child could read the words on the stone tablet, but it was all false. Mr. Lu was afraid that the cult leader would blame him, so he had to fake the inscription and let Wei Xiaobao remember it. Then he took a pen and paper and wrote the tadpole characters one by one to teach him to recognize them, so that the cult leader would not show flaws when summoned.
7一日，胖头陀来到，说教主要召见韦小宝。陆先生、胖头陀领了韦小宝向着北方一座山峰行去转过两个山坡，抬头遥见峰顶建着几座大竹屋，胖头陀抱着韦小宝直上峰顶。
On the first day of July, the fat head came and the preacher summoned Wei Xiaobao. Mr. Lu and Fat Head Tuo led Wei Xiaobao to a mountain in the north and turned two hillsides. Looking up, they saw several large bamboo houses built on the top of the mountain. Fat Head Tuo held Wei Xiaobao to the top of the mountain.
8大厅中一群群少男少女衣分青白黑黄红五色，分站五个方位，背上各负长剑。两旁站着数十人，有男有女，年轻的三十来岁，老的六七十岁，均不带兵刃。一白鬓垂胸、满脸皱纹的老人和一美貌少妇坐在当中的竹椅上。
In the hall, groups of young men and girls were dressed in blue, white, black, yellow and red, standing in five directions, with swords on their backs. On both sides stood dozens of people, men and women, the young in their thirties and the old in their sixties and seventies, all without weapons. 9那女子左手抬起，向韦小宝招了招，笑道:“小\弟弟，你过来。”韦小宝走上前去，躬身行礼道:“教主和夫人永享仙福，寿与天齐。洪教主手捻长须，点头微笑。
